Research published in a peer-reviewed nephrology journal identified the likely mechanism: when GLP-1-related nausea or vomiting leads to poor fluid intake, the kidneys can be starved of adequate blood flow, triggering an acute injury. It's a preventable complication — but only if someone is actually watching for it.
Why This Risk Is Amplified in Florida
